Dr Ahmad Al-Rekabi

Dr Al-Rekabi is a Consultant Interventional and Diagnostic Radiologist at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. He graduated with an Honours degree in Anatomy before earning his medical degree from the University of London in 2015.

Following his initial training in clinical radiology, Dr Al-Rekabi undertook advanced subspecialty training in interventional radiology at the renowned Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London. He completed his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Clinical Radiology, along with dedicated subspecialty accreditation in Interventional Radiology, in 2023. In the same year, he successfully obtained the European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) diploma, further underscoring his expertise in the field.

Dr Al-Rekabi has broad experience across both diagnostic and interventional radiology, with a particular clinical focus on embolisation therapy, peripheral arterial disease, deep venous interventions, interventional oncology, and renal tumour ablation. He also holds a specialist interest in vascular and cardiovascular imaging, including coronary artery disease assessment and CT planning for Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI).
