Dr Archie Spears
Dr Speirs is highly experience at performing varicoceles embolisations. Since being appointed Consultant at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in 2010 he has led the varioclele embolisation service and completed over 250 cases.
He has adapted his practice over this period now favouring a jugular approach and increasingly utilising MRA to plan procedures particularly when treating the, less common, right sided varicocele which has significantly increased the technical success rate.
More recently Professor Little has joined the varicocele team allowing frequent case discussion in more complex scenarios and augmenting the multidisciplinary team meetings with the Urology Consultants. We regular review our practice to ensure we offer patients the best possible standard of care.
