Graduated from St. Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School 1998. Intercalated First Class Honours in Anatomy, University College London 1995. General Radiology training at St. Mary’s Hospital, London. Fellowship in Interventional Radiology at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Hospital 2007-2009. Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists 2007. Member of the British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR) and Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE).
Dr. Ahmad was appointed Consultant Interventional Radiologist at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in 2009. He specialises in a wide range of vascular interventions including peripheral lower limb arterial angioplasty and stenting for conditions such as claudication and limb ischaemia. He has a specialist interest in the treatment of vascular malformations using percutaneous sclerotherapy techniques. He has a wide research portfolio studying the benefits of vascular and non-vascular interventions.
